Aadhaar Enabled Payment System(AePS)
AEPS is a bank led model which allows online interoperable financial transaction at PoS (Point of Sale / Micro ATM) through the Business Correspondent (BC)/Bank Mitra of any bank using the Aadhaar authentication.partner through it’s KIOSK banking network in rural areas.
Aadhaar Banking is AEPS (Aadhaar Enabled Payment System) powered digital banking service that enables retailers to provide basic banking functions such as cash withdrawal, balance inquiry, and domestic money remittances to their customers and earn money as commission. All that any retailer needs to do is to sign-up as a MAI TARA retailer and start providing these services.

What is required for Transaction
- Micro ATM
- Remember Aadhaar
- Give Bank name
- Present self (Aadhaar holder) with Bio-metrics (Finger and/or IRIS)
How to get it:
- Provide KYC (Know Your Customer) information to open a new account
- Aadhaar Number should be linked with bank a/c
BHIM Aadhaar Pay
BHIM Aadhaar Pay enables Merchants to receive digital payments from customers over the counter through Aadhaar Authentication. It allows for any Merchant associated with any acquiring bank live on BHIM Aadhaar Pay , to accept payment from customer of any bank by authenticating customer’s biometrics. To be able to effect the same, merchant should have an Android mobile with BHIM Aadhaar app and certified biometric scanner attached with mobile phone/Kiosk/Tablet on USB Port or Micro-ATM/POS, mPOS. Both Customer and Merchant should have their Aadhaar linked to their Bank Account.
